Detroit's Veterans Day Parade

For the past 3 years, American Legion Post 216 Past CommanderJoe Salvia has assisted the veterans of Detroit and surrounding communities in organizing a Veterans Day Parade in downtown Detroit. Each year this parade has witnessed an increase in participation and enthusiasm. This year was no exception as shown in the two 'You Tube' video clips that are linked below.

Joe Salvia, the Commander of AMVETS Post 2006 and John Nelson the Commander of American Legion Post 216 in Milford were on hand to participate and assist in the parade. Other members of the two Milford VSO's participating were Bonnie Welbaum, John Robinson, Richard Woodcox, and Robert Maxwell. The 'You Tube' videos are in two parts and were produced by a Vietnamese reporter. Some of the narration is in Vietnamese, but veteran’s comments and pictures give you a good indication of what transpired that day.
