On November17th The Legion Honor Guard provided full military honors for local veteran Stanley V. Kuplicki. Cloyd Olney Feigley

It is with deep regret that we report the passing of Cloyd Olney Feigley. Cloyd faithfully served our nation as a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran during WWII. He was a member of the 356th Fighter Squadron stationed throughout Europe. He was a founding member of E.F. Oldenburg Post 216 in Milford , and was instrumental in the Post's acquisition of the land and current building. Cloyd was a lifetime member of the Milford community and will be greatly missed by it's citizens and his family.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2008, the Honor guard provided full military honors for Cloyd at Milford Memorial Cemetery. The flag presentation team consisted of Lance Oberg, John Moore, and Joe Salvia.
The Rifle team consisting of Dave Horst, Ray Clinard, Ron Nevorski, Chuck Bowman, Rich Chowaniec and Joe Bishop was commanded by Skip Davison. The Bugler was Don Stevenson. The Color Guard was led by Nortie Caswell and included Jerry Mantela, Percy Duncan, and Ike Eickholdt.

A silent watch was conducted by Lance Oberg, John Moore, and Joe Salvia at both the funeral home viewing on Tuesday, and at the church on Thursday morning.

On September 13th the Legion Honors team conducted full military honors for long time Milford resident, and U.S. Army Air Corps veteran Marvin Olds. The ceremony was held at Milford Memorial Cemetery.

Members of the Flag presentation team were John Nelson, Joe Salvia, John Moore, John Robinson, and Todd Herron. The Firing Team was commanded by Rich Chowaniec and consisted of Joe Bishop, Ron Nevorski, Dave Horst, Skip Davison, and Ike Eickholdt. Don Stevenson was the Bugler and Nortie Caswell carried the National Colors.

Tom Motley

On August 29th the Legion Honors team conducted full military honors for long time Milford resident, and U.S. Army veteran Tom Motley. The ceremony was held at the Lynch Funeral Home at the closing of the funeral service. Joe Salvia and Lance Oberg stood a Silent Watch the previous evening.

Members of the Flag presentation team were Joe Salvia, John Moore, and Lance Oberg. The Firing Team was commanded by Rich Chowaniec and consisted of Ray Clinard, Ron Nevorski, Dave Horst, Skip Davison, and Bob Godwin. Don Stevenson was the Bugler.

A Color Guard was lead by Nortie Caswell and included Al Riggs, Chuck Bowman, and Gerry Mantela (Amvets).

Dr. Dennis P. Kenny

On August 21st, the Post Honor Guard conducted military honors for US Army/Air Corps Veteran Dr. Dennis Kenny. The team supported Air Force personnel who conducted the flag presentation ceremony with a rifle volley and taps. Team members supporting this mission included, Rich Chowaniec, Dave Horst, John Moore, Lance Oberg, Don Stevenson, Chuck Bowman, and Ron Nevorski. The ceremony was held at Lynch and Sons.

At the viewing the evening before, Joe Salvia, John Moore, and Lance Oberg stood a silent watch.

Ronald R. Gossett

On Wednesday July 9th, the Legion Honors team provided a rifle team and bugler for the funeral service of U.S. Army Veteran and Post 216 member Robert Gossett. The services were held at the Will Funeral Home in Livonia. Rich Chowaniec commanded the firing team consisting of John Moore, Ron Nevorski, Dave Horst, Chuck Bowman, and Skip Davison. Don Stevenson was the Bugler. MANG personnel provided the flag ceremony.

Joe Salvia provided a Silent Watch tribute at the Tuesday night family visitation.

On Saturday June 14th the Post Honor Guard provided funeral honors for U.S. Navy and WWII Veteran Ray Clinard Sr. at Oakland Hills Memorial Cemetery in Novi. Mr. Clinard was the father of SAL and Honor Guard member Ray Clinard Jr.

Rich Chowaniec commanded the firing team which consisted of Ron Nevorski, Dave Horst, Ike Eickholdt, Lance Oberg, Nortie Caswell, Dennis Finkbeiner, and Bob Godwin. Don Stevenson was the Bugler.

On Thursday April 16, members of the Legion Honors Team provided a flag presentation and Taps for the family of USMC Veteran Robert Bush. The ceremony was held at the Lynch Funeral Home in Milford. Rich Chowaniec and John Moore folded and presented the flag, and Don Stevenson was the Bugler.

The interment was at the Hodge Cemetery in Hartland. Former USMC Sgt.
